Roof Monitors
The Roof Monitoring Safety System is a low cost instrument used to monitor movement in overhead rock masses. Its unique design provides many features which make the RMSS an effective safeguard in underground mining situations. Because of its size and rugged packaging, the RMSS can be placed in small boreholes without additional reaming or collars. Direct electrical measurement of roof movement is done with a hand-held volt-ohm meter.
