Ground Monitors
A ground monitor continuously verifies the integrity of the ground wire found in the trailing cable for electrical equipment. In the United States, ground monitors are required by MSHA to ensure the ground wire remains intact on all electrical machinery used on surface and underground coal mines e.g. drag lines, continuous miners, shuttle cars, roof bolters, etc. Since 1975, AMR has been a pioneer in ground monitor design and has over 30,000 circuits in use worldwide.
